Christopher Robinson, Principal

 

Mr. Robinson is a seasoned educator and has served in various educational capacities over nearly two decades. He spent four years in higher education in the District of Columbia and then transitioned to elementary education in 2009. During his time as a teacher in Chicago, he taught 4th through 8th-grade math and reading. Prior to joining District 65 , he served as an assistant principal in Skokie School District 68 where he put systems in place to collaborate with educators and support staff to improve instruction and propel student academic growth. Within this role, he also had the opportunity to lead the math and special education departments at the middle school level.

Michelle Bournes Thomas, Assistant Principal

Ms. Bournes-Thomas is a long-time educator and served as the assistant principal at Lincoln Elementary before joining the Oakton Administration team.  Prior to serving in these  leadership capacities, Ms. Bournes-Thomas was a primary grade teacher at both Kingsley and Oakton elementary schools for 15 years. She holds a Certificate of Advanced Study in Educational Leadership from National-Louis University, a Master of Education in Elementary Education from DePaul University, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychological Services from Northwestern University.
