Oakton School Library
The Library is an integral part of the educational program of Oakton School. The mission of this Library is to encourage, promote, and ensure that Oakton Elementary School students will be effective and discriminating users of ideas and information and cultivate the reading habit and use of a library for lifelong learning.
In collaboration with teachers, educators, and parents through the instructional activities, resources, facilities and technologies provided in the Library, students become effective users of information literacy to enhance their learning opportunities. Components of the Oakton School LIbrary include the circulation of materials, curriculum integrated learning, technology integration and reading incentive programs.
